PNU PRESIDENT RECOGNIZED AS FINALIST AT GLOBAL EDUCATOR AWARD IN MALAYSIA

Dr. Bert J. Tuga, President of the Philippine Normal University, was recognized as a finalist for the prestigious Global Educator Award (GEA) 2025 in the Inspiring Educational Leader category on October 2-4, 2025, at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia.

Inspired by Malaysia’s Madani Values, the Global Educator Award is a distinguished event organized by UPSI in partnership with the Ministry of Education to honor outstanding individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to advancing education initiatives worldwide.

The competition attracted over 200 nominations from 54 countries, with participants competing across five categories: Community Outreach Award, Transforming Educational Institution Award, Esteemed Teacher Educator Award, Avant-Garde Teacher Award, and Inspiring Educational Leadership Award. From these inspiring stories, 16 finalists were selected. Dr. Tuga was one of the five finalists for the Inspiring Education Leaders award.
