Community outreach individuals possess a unique set of qualities that enable them to effectively engage with and serve diverse communities. They have a deep understanding and empathy for the needs, challenges, and aspirations of the communities they serve, allowing them to connect and build trust.
They advocate for the interests and rights of communities, raising awareness, mobilizing support, and influencing policies and decisions to create positive change. These individuals are committed to the long-term well-being and development of the communities they serve, dedicating time, effort, and resources to make a positive impact and foster community empowerment.
Remarkable individual or group (not professionally involved in education or teaching) who has made a significant impact on education within the community are eligible to apply.

Nomination Process
This award is open to all nationalities.
Submission of application can be through self-nomination or nomination by others.
All applicants are required to complete the registration and submit their application at www.gea.upsi.edu.my.
All submissions need to be accompanied by: a) a portfolio; and b) a short video (of not more than 5 minutes)
Shortlisted applicants will be notified and partake in an interview with the panel of judges.
All applicants must abide by the rules and regulations as stipulated in the terms and conditions.
All applications are reviewed according to a set of criteria by the awards panel of judges.
All applicants will be notified of the result within two (2) months from the closing date. If an applicant does not receive any notification after two (2) months from the closing date, the application is considered unsuccessful.
The decision made by the panel of judges is final and binding.
